Static bending and torsion tests on dental implants
The trial was carried out to highlight any behavioural differences with regard to axial, bending and torsion stresses between a Profile1 implant and an implant manufactured by competitors.The samples have provided the following results in terms of bending:
- in the competition implant, as the screw lost its retaining power, the mounting moved out of its seat,
- in the competition implant, as the screw lost its retaining power, the mounting moved out of its seat.
For all other tests the Profile1 mounting has proven that there are no problems in terms of implant geometry even in case of misuse of the same: breakages allow to use the implant and/or its correct removal.
