Osteogenesis and morphology of the peri-implant bone facing dental implants
The trial was carried out for the purpose of comparing different surface treatments (machined STi titanium, plasma spray TPS titanium, zirconium oxide sandblasting + acid ZR-SLA pickling) and their results in terms of tissue osteogenesis in the peri-implant area after the first 2 weeks and at full healing (3 months).
The trial shows that after 2 weeks there is no tissue regeneration where the threads touch the bone and that the best treatments appear to be TPS and ZR, in that roughness enhance its efficacy.
After three months the screws display good osseointegration.
